The inaugural Louisville Innovation Summit will convene Tuesday and Wednesday to examine and discuss options for bringing innovation to long-term care. Five of the nation’s largest senior care providers are collaborating on the event: Kindred Healthcare, ResCare Inc., Signature HealthCare, Trilogy Health Services, and Humana Inc. The conference will focus on C-suite initiatives but also include an exposition (called “The Entrepreneur’s Garage”), which will showcase things such as smart-home technology and robotic aids.
The event’s keynote speakers include Paul Bennet, chief creative officer at IDEO, who will discuss redesigning the patient experience, and Carlos Dominguez, a senior vice president at Cisco Systems, who will discuss how technology is changing how we communicate, collaborate and work.
