Long-term care stakeholders are being encouraged to recognize building administrators Monday through Friday in special ways. The American College of Health Care Administrators has declared March 9-13 Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week and has offered several resources to celebrate it.
“Just a simple act of giving flowers or a card can brighten someone’s day,” organizers noted.
A press release, special certificate of recognition, graphic elements and more can be found at this ACHCA link. #LTCAWeek20 is the Twitter hashtag where experiences and observances can be gathered.
Some of the other ideas offered by the association include:
• (For individuals) A treat or meal out, gift certificates to a spa, or tickets to a favored event
• (For facility recognition) A special meal, social program or theme, or activities involving residents, staff and volunteers — not run by the administrator
• (For community recognition) A press release to local news outlets, social media posts and a community open-house or similar event.
