The National Home and Community Based Conference in Baltimore next week will feature LeadingAge and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services officials.

The conference is organized through the National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities. Sessions include “New Models of Affordable Senior Housing-Based Service Coordination/Wellness Programs” from Robyn Stone, Ph.D., and Marc Cohen, the co-directors of the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston. They will be joined by Kim Brooks, vice president of senior living at Hebrew Senior Life.

CMS officials Alissa Deboy, Deputy Director, DEHPG; Ralph Lollar, Director, Division of Long-Term Services & Supports, DCST, DEHPG; Melissa Harris, Senior Policy Advisor; Serena Lowe, Senior Policy Adviser, Center for Policy & Evaluation, ACL; and Michele MacKenzie, Technical Director, Division of Long-Term Services & Supports will present an intensive on HCBS regulations at 9 am., Monday, August 27.

The conference runs through August 30 at the Marriott Waterfront Baltimore. More than 1,500 attendees are expected.
