The 25th Annual Clinical Update in Geriatric Medicine will be held April 6-8 at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center. It is held in conjunction with the International Hospital Elder Life Program CME event. That event is meant to help professionals understand how delirium impacts older adults and to identify nonpharmacologic approaches to prevent delirium.

The conference is provided by the Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society-Western Division, UPMC/University of Pittsburgh Aging Institute, the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, along with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Center for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences.

Session topics include “Management of Pressure Ulcers,”  “Pulmonary Hypertension in the Elderly,” and “Chronic Constipation Case Studies.” The conference is designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals who help older adults.

William B. Applegate, M.D., MPH, MACP, Professor of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine Wake Forest Baptist Health, is a featured speaker.
