The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will hold its Medicare Advantage & Prescription Drug Oversight & Enforcement 2014 Program Audits conference on Tuesday, June 24.
It is designed to “provide insight into how MA and Part D organizations can best prepare for a CMS performance audit.”
Kathleen Flannery, deputy director, Division of Analysis, Policy, and Strategy, Medicare Parts C & D Oversight and Enforcement Group, will tackle CMS’s audit strategy and program oversight during a morning session. Lorelei Piantedosi, Division of Analysis, Policy, and Strategy, MOEG, will deliver a session on best practices in program audits. The director of the Division of Audit Operations at MOEG also will walk participants through a mock audit and deliver a session on preparing for an audit.
Other sessions include an update on CMS Enforcement Actions and Investing in Your Compliance Program.
