A one-day virtual symposium will explore and debate controversial topics in the long-term and post-acute care settings on Aug. 27. Attendees will become familiar with and receive preparation for dealing with potential leadership and ethical challenges.

Hosted by AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, the event will delve into alternative medicine use, boundaries of autonomy and informed consent, psychotherapy and psychiatric prescribing, systemic societal ageism, racism and unconscious bias, and more.

Topics will be discussed live from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET and also be available on-demand afterward. Continuing education credits for clinical and administrative professionals, as well as member and non-member rates, are available. The full agenda with session titles and speakers can be seen here.
