The nation’s largest nursing home association has announced its modified plans for its annual conference. Oct. 8-31 will be the span when events will take place online, according to the American Health Care Association / National Center for Assisted Living.

It’s 71st annual conference was originally supposed to take place during a typical Sunday-through-Wednesday span in Austin, TX, before COVID-19 conditions took hold.

Registration for the newly designed event will begin in July, organizers said.

“This year’s convention offers you 24 days of on-demand content. And you can connect in real time with Get-Together Thursdays — three days of live-stream sessions on October 8, 15, and 22,” organizers explained in their announcement this week.

The convention will continue to offer educational sessions with CE credits, keynote speakers, networking opportunities and awards presentations. In addition, there will still be an online exhibition hall.

Organizers direct anyone interested to visit AHCAConvention.org for ongoing updates.
