An outbreak of suspected Norwalk virus, the bug that hit many cruise passengers last year, has infected more than 50 people at an Orange County, CA, nursing, home.

Conway Lakes Nursing Home is trying to contain the spread of the virus, asking people not to visit for 48 hours.

Symptoms include nausea, vomiting and a low-grade fever. The virus can spread through the air.

The Health Department says heavy duty cleaning can eradicate the virus, though it is also waiting for test results to confirm that it’s Norwalk.
