Relias Learning has bought Idaho-based WhiteCloud Analytics, the company announced in June.

It is the second analytics category firm Relias has bought this year, following its acquisition of Care Management Technologies in April.

The company’s investment into analytics reflects providers wanting to have visibility into performance, the company said. Administrators can measure the effectiveness of learning programs.

“WhiteCloud’s strength in the acute-care market, combined with their performance management analytics tools, make them an ideal addition to the Relias suite of solutions,” said Jim Triandiflou, CEO of Relias Learning. “When combined with our recently announced acquisition of CMT, we are building a unique analytics solution.”

Relias will integrate WhiteCloud’s management analytics into its learning management system to create a digital platform.  This will “set a new standard in supporting healthcare’s demands to accelerate the rate of change and improvement,” said Bob Lokken, WhiteCloud Analytics CEO.

In late May, Relias also announced that it was launching Relias PATHS™, a system designed to help assess and improve staff competency. PATHS will initially focus on learning and assessments, with the incorporation of analytics in upcoming phased roll-outs, the company said. WhiteCloud was the seventh acquisition since March 2016.

PATHS will include interactive eLearning, reviews, competency trackers and refreshers. PATHS training plans will be both “customized and adaptive, providing a level of personalization designed to increase engagement and proficiency,” Relias officials noted.

“PATHS is truly a revolutionary approach to using analytics and assessments to develop highly targeted training plans,” Triandiflou said.

PATHS was developed for physicians, psychologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and others, Relias officials said. It will be available starting July 20 for post-acute care providers.
