VoiceFriend has released its Wellness Check Module for a voice-activated notification and communications solution for communities.
The product uses Amazon Alexa’s voice assistance technology and offers three options for seniors. They can receive an inbound telephone call and press a number to confirm they are OK; call the community’s phone number at a specific time; or check in via the Amazon Echo smart speaker device.
VoiceFriend notifies the community’s staff for which residents have failed to update their wellness status, reducing manual wellness checks.
“Performing effective wellness checks — which are vital to ensuring the wellness and safety of residents — has always been a challenge for most senior living communities,” says Bruce Baron, VoiceFriend’s CEO. “Manual solutions are labor intensive and often rely on overworked staff members remembering to perform wellness checks. The consequences of an ineffective wellness check system could be catastrophic.”
