Perkins Eastman joined Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs for a ribbon-cutting of the the new Arkansas State Veterans Home at North Little Rock.

The ADVA’s Community Living Centers represented the first developments for the sole purpose of long-term care for veterans. Services include skilled nursing care, dementia care and rehabilitation services.

The eight CLCs were built using the “small house” model, each with 12 bedrooms and adjoining private bathrooms.

The Chicago office of Perkins Eastman provided architecture, planning and interior design services; Polk Stanley Wilcox, based in Little Rock, is the Architect of Record.

Each 10,000-square-foot home features universally accessible common areas including living room, study, dining room, kitchen and den, and front and pack porches, the firm noted.
