VersaSuite has received approval from the Drummond Group for its “Power of One Software and EHR System,” VersaSuite version 9.0, to complete the process required for meaningful use certification.

The 2015 Edition ONC Health Certification is the third phase of the meaningful use EHR incentive program as published by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

“This is an important step in our HIS/EHR/EPM/ERP Development,” says Ken Henderson, executive vice president of marketing and sales. “This now means our software meets all the necessary requirements for our partner hospitals and clinics to qualify for the federal government’s Electronic Health Record Incentive Program.”

The certification process took over 18 months to complete to cover 54 criteria for 25 clinical quality measures.

Healthcare organizations must obtain a certified EHR system and use it over a continuous 90-day period to qualify for an incentive payment. Those that fail to demonstrate meaningful use are subject to financial penalties under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act.
