Safety firm Nortek Security & Control has introduced a new generation of its popular mobile personal emergency response system and fall-detection solution called Numera Libris® 2.

“This device is upgradeable and future-ready,” said Michael Pirie, Nortek Security & Control Vice President of Health & Wellness. “Families can better rely on it today, and in the future.”

The 4G/LTE-supported Numera Libris 2 includes fall detection, voice-recognition capabilities, a new microphone and speaker and enhanced commands, including LIBRIS® Help, Power off and volume controls.

The company, which offers an ecosystem of security, safety, and personal health and wellness solutions, also plans to add Wi-Fi location services, voice prompts, silent alarm mode and an ambient light sensor to Libris 2.

Libris also collects and shares objective health measurement data, such as blood pressure and pulse oximetry, as well as activity data, location information, and fall events. Data is uploaded to the EverThere cloud platform and is accessible via any device that has a browser and a connection to the Internet.
