American HealthTech and COMS Interactive announced a new AHT/COMS workflow solution to help with disease management.
Both groups of customers will have a single sign-on capability that lets users access both systems. AHT customers can enter and access COMS reports, assessments and other indicators, the companies said.
“AHT and COMS are committed to working together for what’s best for the customers and patients – without pride of ownership – to bring the right data together in the right place at the right time so the best care decisions can be made, all within the nursing workflow. Even though our two systems weren’t originally built to work together, this partnership empowers our mutual customers to do what’s best for the patient,” said Teresa Chase, AHT president.
New AHT menu items were added to include history, vital signs and other assessment indicators.
The announcement was made during AHT’s Client Symposium in San Antonio this week. AHT is owned by CPSI.
“Better care translates to better results, from lower hospital readmissions to improved documentation for better reimbursement, and everything in between. That is what this partnership is about: COMS and AHT are dedicated to achieving better resident outcomes,” said Jim Riemenschneider, co-founder and chief revenue officer of COMS Interactive.
