SLM Services LLC of Coconut Creek, FL, received an award for on-the-job safety performance during The MEMIC Group’s Annual Meeting of Policyholders.
Eight employers, out of 21,000 MEMIC policyholders, received a 2019 award for workplace safety.
Senior Living Management (SLM) operates 24 licensed senior living residences within Florida, Georgia and Louisiana, with facilities that include skilled nursing and memory care.
Among their accomplishments is virtual dementia training for employees, community members and first responders.
“People are willing to do many things to help others, but they don’t always realize the risks they take,” said SLM Chief Operating Officer Bart Palumbo. “We are there to make certain they don’t take an unnecessary risk. I believe safety plays into everything we do, from the simplest decisions we make to the large, most important decisions we make.”
