Long-term care operators would like to see private long-term care insurance take a more central role in financing eldercare services. So a recent announcement by the American Association of Long-Term Care Insurance should come as welcome news. The AALTCI reports that 25 states saw double-digit increases in residents with such policies. In fact, the number of Alaskans with such long-term care insurance grew almost 130%, while Wyoming and Vermont saw 62% and 48% increases, respectively.
