Senior care software vendor PointClickCare has overtaken MatrixCare in the annual KLAS software rankings.

The research and insights firm named PointClickCare winner of the long-term care services segment in its 2020 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report, which ranks healthcare IT software and services vendors across numerous market segments.

“In an industry that is constantly evolving, this acknowledgement is a testament of our commitment to continuously innovate and support our customers as they deliver the highest quality of care to residents, optimize operational performance, and improve outcomes,” Mike Wessinger, CEO of PointClickCare, said in a press release. “We are honored to be recognized by KLAS as the leader in long-term care software and are particularly excited by the strong results in the areas most important to our customers.”

MatrixCare had held the No. 1 position for three years, setting a record for highest score in 2019. The company’s Brightree Home Health & Hospice services ranked highest in the home health category this year.

Stanley Healthcare, meanwhile, was named KLAS category leader for real-time location systems. The company’s MobileView platform for its AeroScout solutions has earned the top-ranked position six times over the ten-year history of the RTLS category.

PointClickCare had the highest overall score for the long-term care segment in a 12-month survey and audit period. The company received top marks in categories for culture, loyalty, operations and product.

“Providers and payers demand better performance, usability, and interoperability from their vendor partners every year,” said Adam Gale, president of KLAS. “Best in KLAS winners set the standard of excellence in their market segment. Earning a Best in KLAS award should both excite and humble the recipients. It serves as a signal to providers that they should expect only the best from the winning vendors.”
