naviHealth has announced the launch of the Post-Acute Care Center for Research in Washington, D.C. Partners Continuing Care of Massachusetts will serve as a founding member. Barbara Gage, Ph.D, will lead the center.

Gage, a fellow at the Brookings Institution and a director of CMS’ PAC payment policy and quality measurement work over the past two decades, will be the Center’s Director of Scientific Research and Evaluation.

The center will be a forum for national leaders in PAC policy research to discuss best practices and quality care of metrics, and to provide training on PAC assessment tools. The center will also be an innovation lab to “test delivery system refinement and to provide policy feedback.”

Partners Continuing Care is the Post-Acute Care Services Division of Partners HealthCare System, with headquarters in Boston.
