Providence Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Yeadon, PA, has opened a cardiopulmonary program as part of enhancements at the 129-bed skilled nursing facility.

Marquis Health Services acquired Providence earlier this year and launched a $2.5 million capital campaign. The physician-led program includes consults with board-certified cardiologists and pulmonologists, certified nurses on staff, 24/7 access to lab and radiology services, onsite and full-time respiratory therapy, as prescribed, and a comprehensive range of additional services and therapies.

“Providence is providing the community with a new, quality post-hospitalization option for cardiopulmonary care and treatment,” said Michael Korman, M.D., a pulmonary specialist affiliated with Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, which sits adjacent to Providence. “Transitioning into a specialized rehab program prior to returning home after a hospital stay reduces the potential of a readmission.

Marquis Health Services’ physical renovation work includes modernizing the two-story, 52,000-square-foot facility, with extensive upgrades to its rehab therapy gym, lobby, common areas, and private and semi-private patient rooms.
