Ignite Medical Resorts is now managing operations at three Oklahoma transitional care facilities in a new collaboration with Sabra Health Care REIT.

Ignite assumed management of the combined 221 licensed beds in Bartlesville, Norman and Oklahoma City, OK, effective Jan. 1. The company, quickly building a reputation as a luxury rehabilitation provider, is also pursuing a change of ownership with Oklahoma officials.

“From the start of our relationship with Sabra, they have been very operator friendly and have helped tremendously to provide partnership in the overall aesthetics, financials and patient care of these three facilities,” Ignite CEO and Co-founder said Tim Fields said in a media release. “It is not easy to run an all short-term rehab, post-hospital, transitional care model. We are excited to work with the amazing team at each building to bring LuxeRehabTM to the communities of Bartlesville, Norman and Oklahoma City.”

Ignite also operates three medical resort locations in Illinois and Kansas City, and has plans to open additional locations in Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri in 2020. The company’s Missouri projects include a two-site deal with LTC Properties announced last August.

Ignite’s “LuxeRehab” approach combines luxury touches and rapid rehabilitation, coupling hotel-like amenities with seven-day-a-week clinical programming for orthopedics, stroke, cardiac and respiratory care specialties.
