HealthDirect Pharmacy Services has acquired Family Pharmacy Healthcare, its 26th long-term care pharmacy location.
The 43-year-old Family pharmacy includes the long-term pharmacy business and a single long-term care location in southwest Missouri. The acquisition will allow HealthDirect to expand support and service capabilities in existing locations in Missouri and Kansas.
“Southwestern Missouri has been an area of opportunity for us since we entered the state five years ago,” HealthDirect President Brian Scott said in a press release. “The transition of Family Pharmacy’s LTC clients and team members grants us access to a really nice market.”
HealthDirect will absorb nearly 30 employees. The company is 100% employee-owned. Headquartered in Syracuse, NY, it serves clients in eight states.
