Healthcare Transactions Group recently arranged the sale of Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The 88-bed skilled nursing facility in Frostburg, MD, is owned and operated by University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Western Maryland.

UPMC is one of the nation’s largest integrated health systems with 40 hospitals.

The transaction closed on March 1; price and other details were not disclosed. Healthcare Transactions Group described the buyer as a New York-based skilled nursing facility owner and operator with existing skilled nursing facilities on the East Coast.

Frostburg Nursing provides traditional skilled nursing care and active rehabilitation services, and a 22-bed Alzheimer’s/dementia unit with an enclosed, outdoor courtyard. The facility will be known as Mountain City Rehabilitation Center.
