Salon and spa provider PS has issued a 17-page guide to help senior living and long-term care operators reopen their in-house beauty services.

The salon reopening plan — called ACCORD (an acronym for assess, clean, communicate, organize, reopen and deliver) — is available to all communities, not just PS customers. It can be downloaded, printed or shared by PDF.It is informed by industry partners ranging from Barbicide and Paul Mitchell to LeadingAge and state boards of cosmetology.

The guidance covers issues such as infection control procedures, use of personal protective equipment, appointment spacing, and payment methods that reduce contact.
