Divurgent, a healthcare IT consulting group, has announced a strategic partnership with Medsphere Systems Corporation.

Divurgent will support Medsphere clients in addressing compliance initiatives including Meaningful Use, ICD-10, and value-based purchasing models. Medsphere has open-source electronic health records, and allows providers to use OpenVista®, the open-source version of the proven VistA EHR developed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The integration of Atigeo’s xPatterns C.A.C. coding module with the OpenVista® EHR will provide Medsphere customers with a clinical coding supported by multiple specialties, native ICD-10 auto-coding, automated localization, and learning and feedback loops for optimization.

“We are thrilled to move into this formal, collaborative relationship with Medsphere to address the tremendous challenges associated with ICD-10 and Meaningful Use planning and change management,” said Mary Sirois, vice president of clinical transformation for Divurgent.
