The newly built Murphy Rehabilitation & Nursing granted its food service contract to Culinary Services Group. CSG currently provides food service for Century Care Management’s eight other communities across North Carolina in a partnership dating to 2010.

Due to COVID related mandates, Murphy’s dining areas and communal spaces will be closed or restricted for now. Culinary Services Group will offer in-room meal service. Meals will be served in the same style as dining room service and brought to residents’ rooms using an insulated food cart.

CSG emphasizes fresh, locally sourced menus and seasonal favorites. Menus are tailored to each community and adjustments are made for regional preferences based on resident feedback.

CSG is also launching a new menu-building software at the Murphy community that will track both macro and micronutrients in its cycle menus ensuring optimal nutrition for residents. Menus can be tailored to support intake of certain vitamins and minerals depending on the community’s health concerns and nutritional needs. By providing ideal nutrition through menu items, Culinary Services Group hopes to reduce the need for costly supplements throughout the communities it serves. The company serves senior living, hospital and behavioral healthcare clients in a dozen states.
