In a sign that this week’s changeover to the Patient-Driven Payment may be driving SNF leaders to the brink, Steve Shain, Chief Operating Officer of LTC Contracting, has made his rap debut.
A music video featuring Shain’s lyrics hit LTC’s blog and YouTube on Sept. 23 and had been viewed more than 13,000 times by Tuesday.
In it, clinicians bounce around generic healthcare settings and a darkened hallway, making references to popping bottles of Zinfandel well saying R.I.P. to R.U.G.s.
LTC Contracting, an affiliate of LTC Consulting Services, had the video professionally recorded and mixed after realizing the lyrics would strike a chord with providers.
