Jill Vitale-Aussem

Christian Living Communities, a Colorado-based not-for-profit senior living services organization, named Jill Vitale-Aussem as its future president and CEO.

She will come aboard Nov. 15, replacing Terry Rogers, who in April became CEO of the Florida-based senior living nonprofit, Westminster Communities.

Vitale-Aussem has more than 20 years of leadership experience in senior living and service, the last two years as president and CEO of The Eden Alternative, an international not-for-profit dedicated to creating quality of life for elders and their care partners through professional training and consulting.

Previously, Vitale-Aussem served CLC from 2009-2018 as both an executive director at Denver’s Clermont Park and vice president of operations for Cappella Living Solutions, the consulting and management division of CLC. She is also the author of Disrupting the Status Quo of Senior Living: A Mindshift.

“This organization is exceptional in its commitment to its mission and a vision of creating communities where aging is honored and celebrated,” Vitale-Aussem said when her return to CLC was announced. “While our field is in a time of unprecedented challenge, there are incredible opportunities for Christian Living Communities to emerge as an even stronger organization — one that leads the way to a new future.”

Vitale-Aussem holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alfred University and a master’s degree in hospitality from Cornell University. Vitale-Aussem will officially begin at CLC on Monday, Nov. 16. The nearly 50-year-old organization serves more than 3,000 older adults at 23 owned and managed communities located in six states, and through adult day, home care and consulting services.
