The LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technology (CAST) has updated its Telehealth and Remote Patient Monitoring Selection Tool with five new products and vendors and two new case studies.

The selection tool allows users to pick the basic requirements they need in a telehealth or remote patient monitoring system in order to receive a list of products that would meet those requirements. The updates include an improved Product Selection Matrix and Online Selection tool, which compares 20 different products. Other features include a white paper and interactive online guide.

The two case studies look at how telehealth can reduce blood pressure and telehealth’s ability to help patients manage their conditions at home with improved outcomes. These case studies show how telehealth updates have increased efficiency in long-term and post-acute care provider organizations.

“The telehealth and RPM selection tool is updated every year so that it continues to be relevant and useful to those interested in telehealth,” said Majd Alwan, Ph.D., CAST’s Executive Director. “In addition to LTPAC providers, other consumers, such as caregivers and older adults, can use this as a resource to help them understand telehealth technologies.”
