Canterbury Court, a Life Plan Community, has replaced its visitor log books with the Accushield Visitor Management System designed to sign in families, friends, third-party caregivers and other vendors.

The Accushield system can also confirm receipt of required credentials from third-party healthcare providers and other vendors working in senior living communities. The Accushield system is customizable and can be used to verify that all third-party care providers and vendors have proof of a criminal background check, sufficient liability insurance, negative TB, proper training and other industry-appropriate credentials before working with residents in a community.

A new feature allows users to screen guests for potential exposure to coronavirus.

The Accushield Visitor Management System and its touchscreen, badge-printing kiosks can be used in assisted living, independent living, memory care and CCRC settings.

“Security is a number one priority at Canterbury,” said Debi McNeil, president and CEO at Canterbury Court. “The Accushield system allows us to ensure that third-party caregivers are undergoing the same background screening processes that we require of our employees and allows us to know who is in our building at all times. The printed badges also provide peace of mind for our residents that visitors to their home have been properly credentialed.”
