AOD Software said its Answers™ software suite has been approved for electronic prescribing of controlled substances with DEA EPCS certification. AOD is the first in long-term care to receive this designation, the company said.
The audit was completed by ComplySmart. As part of the audit, AOD’s Integrated Medication Management software initiated controlled substance electronic prescriptions and provided evidence verifying a total of 55 requirements had been met in accordance with the Controlled Substances Act.
