Tina Reed jumped into her career as a registered nurse at University of Louisville Hospital, a level one trauma center, after graduating from Spalding University.

After trying more administrative-oriented roles, Reed realized that working alongside patients was her calling. She then made her transition into senior living as the director of residents services at a community in Louisville, KY, and knew immediately that serving older adults population was her calling.

Over time, she grew interested in the business operations and was offered the role of executive director at the Louisville community. Her team successfully stabilized the community to 100% occupancy and sustained this level for more than two years, according to Traci McBee, the corporate communications director at LSC.

Reed then was recruited to help start a new senior living portfolio for Ramsey Development, now known as Magnolia Springs Senior Living. She was responsible for all clinical policies and processes for Magnolia Springs, as well as the clinical training within the organization, as the regional operations manager.

Thanks to her dedication, this portfolio has grown to seven communities across three states and is now owned and operated by Life Care Services.

Her current position as the director of clinical services for the rental division with LCS brought her back to her clinical roots. She leads a team of regional nurses overseeing the clinical operations for more than 40 communities.

As Reed transitioned to senior living, she became an advocate for seniors, helping thousands of residents and their families navigate the healthcare system over the past 20 years, according to colleague Traci McBee, the corporate communications director for LCS.

Firm in her belief of the importance of her staff, Tina helped to establish the ImpactLIFE committee, a not-for-profit foundation in 2016 for staff of Magnolia Springs. The foundation provides financial support for staff when they face life’s hardships and has raised more than $200,000 in donations and provided more than $110,000 in financial assistance to the staff.

Reed’s entire career has been dedicated to serving others, and on multiple occasions, she has shared her valuable knowledge of best practices as a conference speaker for the Kentucky Senior Living Association.
