Jessica Garvin began her work in long-term care in 2005 as a public relations / marketing intern at PharmcareUSA in Oklahoma.

From there, she began at JLG Healthcare in 2013 as a marketing manager for three communities and within a year was asked to become the organization’s assisted living administrator.

Two years later, Garvin became a licensed nursing home administrator. She currently is the administrator of a 96-bed skilled facility – Gregston Nursing Home – and a 55- unit assisted living – West Wind Assisted Living – in Marlow, OK. With these two communities, she is the woman manager of the most employees in Stephens County and of the second largest employer in her area.

Garvin sums up her outlook this way: “I have enjoyed working in the industry and plan to continue working with our staff and residents in LTC until retirement. I have a true passion for working with the elderly and feel I have a strength in communicating with nurses, physicians, administrators and others in the field.”

Garvin is a member of ESA Sigma Nu women’s philanthropic sorority, Pathways to a Healthier You, Lions Club International, the United Way of Stephens County Board of Directors and the Oklahoma Assisted Living Association Board of Directors. She is the treasurer of the Oklahomans for Quality Senior Care Political Action Committee Board of Directors and serves as the Beautiful Day Foundation School liaison. She also owns a clothing boutique.

Garvin also loves to hunt and fish with her husband and son and to attend dance events with her daughters. Her interests also include running, attending community events and supporting local sports teams.
