Over the past two decades, Jennifer Mack has worked hands-on in almost every facet of the skilled nursing industry. She began her career as a receptionist/medical records/activities assistant before taking on the roles of head cook, activities director, certified nursing assistant and executive director.

Today, she is regional director of operations for Nightingale Healthcare of Bellingham, WA. She collaborates with each of Nightingale’s nursing facilities to assist with daily operations, providing oversight and support where needed, whether it be with facility financials, electronic medical records or staff education.

Her education and training includes an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Washington, as well as nursing home administrator and CNA licenses.

Mack has spent the entirety of her career expanding her reach and knowledge by taking on challenges beyond her comfort zone and embracing every opportunity to learn and grow as a person and professional.

Over the years, she has overseen or assisted with the implementation of new electronic health records software in Nightingale’s facilities. Her goal is to have every facility move online. She also implemented a certified nursing assistant training program for all employees — including those in dietary, maintenance and housekeeping — to create a “universal” worker who has the proper certification and training to step in and assist when needed.

Mack has devoted more than half of her life to the industry. She is vice chair of the LeadingAge Washington LeadingCare Network and a member of the LeadingAge Washington Board of Directors.
