McKnight’s Long-Term Care News has won three 2011 American Society of Business Publication Editors awards, including two Gold Awards.

McKnight’s was honored with a Gold Award in the “Best News Section” category, as well as the “Best Annual Buyer’s Guide” category. The 2011 McKnight’s Industry Directory — in addition to providing comprehensive listings of products and services for the long-term care industry — spotlights 16 market segments with buying advice for, and from, vendors and fellow providers, as well as McKnight’s own pricing comparisons.

McKnight’s also nabbed a Bronze Award in the “Regular Department” category for a series of three articles about long-term care leaders in the magazine’s Profiles department. Editor Jim Berklan and former Senior Editor Liza Berger wrote the profiles.

“This recognition is a tribute to the entire McKnight’s team,” said John O’Connor, vice president and editorial director at McKnight’s.

“It’s humbling to see our commitment to this field recognized by the leading editors in business publishing. But that would be a hollow victory if we were not taking the lead in meeting our readers’ needs. Providing unmatched news, information, analysis and perspective has helped make us the No. 1 media option in this market. Going forward, our goal is to keep getting better in these and other areas,” he added.
