The editors and staff of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News had double the reason to celebrate last week when the 2018 national awards for the American Society of Health Publication Editors were announced.

McKnight’s earned the Gold Award for “Best News Coverage” for the ninth straight year. The list of MLTCN honorees includes Senior Editor Elizabeth Newman, Art Director Mark Speakman and Editor James M. Berklan.

The same group also won the Silver Award for Best Website — www.mcknights.com. The website attracts more than 5 million page views annually and includes a colorful array of daily news items, staff blogs, guest blogs and “Brighter Side” articles, among others.

McKnight’s Long-Term Care News‘ sister publication, McKnight’s Senior Living also won big in the 2018 ASHPEs, earning a Silver Award for Senior Editor Lois Bowers’ blogs and a Bronze for Best Daily Newsletter (The Daily Briefing).

Both publications’ honors come on the heels of numerous other design, digital and writing distinctions this spring.
