A group of 15 women that includes executive directors and administrators from across the U.S. are being honored as part of the inaugural class of Veteran VIPs in the 2021 McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards program.

The new VIP category for industry veterans recognizes candidates who have more than 15 years of experience, are making an impact on the senior living or skilled nursing fields and are at a level lower than vice president or its equivalent.

“We congratulate these truly deserving industry veterans,” said McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor. “Their hard work and unrelenting dedication has helped make life better for countless residents. They are an inspiration to us all.”

Women of Distinction honorees were selected by an independent national panel of two dozen judges evaluating length and breadth of service, as well as various posts and other activities displaying a strong sense of leadership.
