Lynne Katzmann, Wendy Simpson, Women of Distinction 2019

Know an awesome woman leader in long-term care? How about one who is relatively new in the field but already making a splash?

If you can answer yes to either — or both — of these questions, then it’s time to nominate her for a McKnight’s Women of Distinction Award. Nominations are due by midnight today.

The recognition program, held by McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and sister brand McKnight’s Senior Living, recognizes women in two categories: Hall of Honor, for those who are at the level of vice president (or equivalent) or higher and have made a significant impact in their organizations; and Rising Stars, who have less than 15 years of experience in the industry or are no more than 40 years old, and have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the industry.

A lifetime achievement award also will be bestowed and honorees celebrated at an awards event this spring in Chicago. (2019 Lifetime Achievement Award winner Lynne Katzmann is pictured above, at right.)
