FDA establishes dietary supplement regulations

The quality and content of dietary supplements will be reviewed and evaluated, according to new regulations established by a final rule released by U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday.

Dietary supplements must be produced in a quality manner, not contain contaminants or impurities and be accurately labeled, according to the FDA. In addition, any adverse events related to dietary supplements must be reported to the agency.
