McKnight's Online Expo to start March 26

For the eighth year, the McKnight’s Online Expo is set to deliver practical, timely information to long-term care providers at an unbeatable price point.

The 2014 Expo, taking place March 26 and 27, will include five webcasts from LTC leaders, at least 15 virtual trade booths and thousands of attendees to mingle with in the online exhibition hall. Registration is free at http://www.mcknights.com/Expo2014.

The event kicks off at with a webcast on recent and upcoming Minimum Data Set 3.0 changes, led by Leah Klusch, executive director of the Alliance Training Center. One continuing education credit is available for each webcast for those who attend the original broadcast.

The day’s second session will tackle the hot topic of how technology is changing long-term care. Presenter Gregory L. Alexander, Ph.D., is an authority on the subject from his research at the University of Missouri’s Sinclair School of Nursing. The day will wrap up with a webcast focused on wound care practices from distinguished specialist Jeffrey M. Levine, M.D., CMD, AGSF.

Day two will begin with a session on a perennially relevant question: Where are operators are finding capital? Charles W. Harry Jr., managing director and director of research and analytics for the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry, will share his considerable insights.

The Expo will conclude with a keynote on surveys and re-surveys, from presenter Jo Walters, RN-C, CDONA, CP, the wellness director at Blanchard House (Assisted Living Concepts). Walters will discuss the “war room” approach to surveys in this highly anticipated session.

The information will keep flowing after March, with six months of Super Tuesday webcasts scheduled to follow the Expo.

“Attendees come away with the latest information, all without the expense of plane tickets or hotel rooms,” says McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor. “Each year, providers rave about the Expo experience.”
