Editor's desk — Cast your ballot now for Readers' Choice Awards
As part of our 25th anniversary celebration last year, we asked readers to name their preferred products of the past quarter century. It was such a huge success, we've decided to make it an annual program.Among other things we learned from last year's Readers' Choice Awards is that when McKnight's readers speak, people listen.
What we're asking for now is for you to take a few moments to note your most admired products or vendors in various categories. (Vote online at www.mcknightsonline.com.)
What are some of the factors you might want to consider?
• Ease of use
• Cost effectiveness
Last year, many people named just a company. This year we'd like you to specify a product, make or brand name where possible.
Voting has never been easier.
If you need to refresh your memory of some worthy candidates, check out our Industry Directory, online at www.mcknightsonline.com (click on "Industry Directory"). Or consult your print version of the Industry Directory.
Your shopping feedback payback is guaranteed, and just for taking part we'll also automatically enter you in a drawing for the grand prize — a portable DVD player — and 20 valuable gift certificates!
Results will be published in a special December 2006 issue of McKnight's Long-Term Care News.
Remember: By casting your votes, you'll not only be giving well-earned recognition to the best players in numerous markets, you'll also be helping build yourself an incredibly valuable database.
You know what you use and what vendors have told you about certain products. But how does that match up with field-tested experiences from peers across the country? Take part and wind up saving yourself some wear and tear: Find high-quality shopping news you helped create here.
Please take a moment now to make your voice heard. Win a portable DVD player! (or 1 of 20 gift certificates) A grand prize winner will receive a stylish portable DVD player, while 20 others can choose a $25 gift certificate to either L'Occitane or The Sharper Image. Only one vote per person per category. Eligible votes must include name, facility, e-mail address and phone number (for notification of prize status). Winners will be announced in the December 2006 issue of McKnight's Long-Term Care News.
