Women of Distinction logo for 2021

A slate of long-term care leaders will share best practice tips for successfully handling pandemic challenges at the free McKnight’s Women of Distinction Forum on May 19.

The first of three, hour-long webinars scheduled for that day, “Addressing pandemic challenges with success” will go live at 11 a.m. ET and carries the ability to earn a continuing education credit. Featured speakers include Covenant Living Communities and Services CEO Terri Cunliffe; Hebrew Home at Riverdale Chief Operating Officer David Pomeranz; Life Plan Communities Senior Vice President/Senior Director Allison Pendroy; and Goodman Group Vice President Kim Te Brugge. There will be time for questions and answers.

The forum takes place the day after the 2021 Women of Distinction awards ceremony. Both events are open to women and men from all layers of long-term and senior care. There is no cost to attend and registration is ongoing

Other webinars scheduled on May 19 include the following (each for one CE credit):

“Finding success in increasing diversity and inclusion” begins at 12:15 ET and will feature dynamic speakers such as Christian Living Communities President and CEO Jill-Vitale Aussem; Brookdale Senior Living President and CEO Lucinda “Cindy” Baier; A.G. Rhodes CEO Deke Cateau; and Eclipse Senior Living CEO Kai Hsiao. Baier is a 2020 McKnight’s Hall of Honor inductee.

The third session, “Secrets to career success,” starts at 1:30 ET and is led by McKnight’s Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement Award winner Mary Ousley, currently chief strategy officer for PruittHealth. Five 2021 Hall of Honor inductees will fill out the dais: Allure Group Chief Operating Officer Melissa Powell; Green House Project Senior Director Susan Ryan; LeadingAge Senior Vice President of Research Robyn Stone, DrPH; Belmont Village Senior Living founder and CEO Patricia Will; and Birmingham Green CEO Denise Chadwick Wright.

The night before (May 18) the spotlight will be on 52 top women leaders who are honorees in the 2021 Women of Distinction program. Those include Ousley, the Lifetime Achievement Award winner, 19 Hall of Honor inductees, 15 Veteran VIPs and 17 Rising Stars.
