Women of Distinction logo for 2021

Do you know an accomplished woman who deserves the spotlight? Now is the perfect time to honor her dedication and impact with a nomination for a McKnight’s Women of Distinction award.

This third annual awards competition, held by McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, and sister media brand McKnight’s Senior Living, will recognize exceptional women working in the respective fields we cover, skilled nursing and senior living. Last year’s program recognized 44 women across two categories, plus Lifetime Achievement Award winner Wendy Simpson.

The deadline for all entries is Jan. 6, 2021. To take action, visit the Women of Distinction website today. Nominations submitted have a $99 entry fee.

Who is eligible?

Nominees work in the senior care and housing industry. This includes long-term care and post-acute care, specifically encompassing independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and life plan / continuing care retirement communities.

Direct care providers, managers, executives, corporate executives and owners are eligible. Those who serve the field indirectly, such as association members and thought leaders also may apply. Vendors are not eligible.

Even with a vaccine on its way, we still don’t know when it’ll be safe to gather in person again, so all selected honorees will be celebrated at a virtual awards event in May that also will include continuing education sessions.

Additional details about the awards event will be announced at a later date, but take a peek at the 2020 virtual event here (free registration is required). As anyone who attended can attest, it was a lot of fun!

Inductees also will be recognized with coverage on McKnights.com and McKnightsSeniorLiving.com and in our print magazines.

Nominations can be submitted via the Women of Distinction website.
