MatrixCare has become the first EHR system for post-acute and long-term care to license the Johns Hopkins Fall Risk Assessment Tool aimed at preventing falls.
MatrixCare’s two clinical decision support products — Clinical Coach and Clinical Guardian — will now feature this assessment checklist. The Johns Hopkins checklist was developed as part of a fall risk safety initiative and has been licensed by over 100 hospitals worldwide.
“Running ‘parallel systems’ with overlapping clinical workflows is not a viable solution as it introduces the potential for errors in data entry, decreases staff efficiency, and adds unnecessary costs. We are honored that Johns Hopkins is licensing their fall prevention checklist to MatrixCare,” John Damgaard, MatrixCare’s president and CEO, commented.
