Providers have continued to sign up for next week’s McKnight’s Online Expo in record numbers. The fourth annual educational event takes place Wednesday and Thursday and can be registered for any time until then at www.mcknights.com/marchexpo. There is no cost to take part or to earn continuing education units (CEUs).

The online expo will feature five sessions over two days. Topics covered will include quality (creating “very satisfied” residents), wound care (becoming a provider of excellence) and capital (“The prognosis for lending) on Wednesday. Sessions will conclude on Thursday with payment (MDS 3.0 and RUGs IV) and technical issues (“Ways to capitalize on new technologies”) taking the spotlight.

Attendees can take part from wherever they can use their computer. They may “attend” any or all of the sessions.

A virtual exhibition hall also is a big part of the experience.. Attendees will be able to interact live with representatives from almost 20 vendors. They can gather information on products and services, without having to lug paperwork, bags or other items round an expansive building.

Organizers said that one of the biggest draws for past attendees has been the ability to obtain high-quality information and education without having major expenses such as travel and lodging, not to mention missed office time.
