LINTECH and HCS Software both passed National ICD-10 testing administrated through the Centers from Medicare & Medicaid Services.

ICD-10 will change the code set from 13,000 to 68,000 for diagnosis, and from 4,000 to 87,000 for procedures. Incorrect codes can cause charting and billing issues.

Both companies said they were available to help customers. While many skilled nursing providers and vendors were prepared to switch by Oct. 1, providers would be granted another year to make the transition to ICD-10 if the “doc fix” bill is signed into law by President Barack Obama.
