Due to economic hardship, Hebrew Hospital Home is seeking a New York court’s permission to sell its 160-bed senior residence facility in Westchester County.

The non-profit organization, which has listed its sale price at $24.3 million, needs the state Supreme Court to allow the sale because it is a charity operating under New York non-profit laws. Hebrew Home officials testified before  the court that mounting losses from the residence facility in Valhalla, NY, are preventing the agency from fulfilling its overall mission to help seniors.
