Patricia Greenwood was an business office employee at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center in Lake Ariel, PA, when she stole checks that were meant to be deposited in resident’s accounts. Authorities said Greenwood additionally deposited checks written to the facility into a personal account.

The thefts, which began in July 2011, were uncovered in November 2014 during an internal audit by the center’s current owners, Saber Healthcare Group LLC. Greenwood was fired shortly after the discovery was made, according to the Scranton Times-Tribune.
