Scott Sautter, Ph.D.

A special McKnight’s webinar on Thursday will address how to help residents through the heightened risk for social isolation, loneliness and boredom because of COVID-19 restrictions. The use of technology’s favorable effects on residents and staff will be explored, starting at 1 p.m. ET and continuing education credit will be available.

Among other things, attendees will learn of clinical benefits of engagement technology, free tools that can be used to reduce staff stress, increase engagement and reduce loneliness, and tips on how to implement an effective program.

Certified dementia care practitioner Mary Arthur and licensed clinical psychologist Scott Sautter, Ph.D., a researcher and university educator, will be the presenters. McKnight’s Senior Editor Liza Berger will moderate. For more information or to register for this May 28 event, go here.
