The second phase of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ new rule for long-term care will be here Nov. 28, and with it new pharmacy-related requirements providers must adhere to.
Providers tuning in to a webinar on Tuesday, Oct. 10 will hear from Omnicare’s Todd King, Pharm.D, CGP, FASCP, on how to handle these new requirements, including establishing and maintaining an infection prevention and control program. Attendees will also learn the basics of an infection prevention and control program, and become familiar with other pharmacy-related changes to Appendix PP.
The free event, “Mega-Rule Phase II: Tips on creating and maintaining an infection prevention and control program,” begins at 1 pm ET and offers attendees one continuing education credit.
