Hamilton Medical Consultants will use Diagnotes Inc. mobile and clinical-based communication for its medical directors, physicians and advanced practice providers working at short- and long-term care facilities in central Indiana, the companies announced.

Hamilton Medical Consultants was launched by two physicians in 2012 to focus on post-acute patients. Thirteen HMC employees use Diagnotes as they cover five facilities.

“The Diagnotes technology provides our clinicians with a seamlessly integrated mobile clinical communications system that includes HIPAA-compliant secure texting, real-time scheduling and on-the-go encounter documentation,” said Tara S. Lutes, J.D., the group’s manager of operations and general counsel. “Because the system is HIPAA-compliant, clinicians can append photos of lab results, pharmacy orders and other attachments to a secure text message.”

“The Diagnotes system is designed for a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment,” said Dave Wortman, Diagnotes chairman and CEO. “All users can access all of the components from any smartphone, tablet or laptop they choose.”
